Every year, we have the honour of organising the Parfums Christian Dior National Convention in France. In a break with tradition, Brussels was selected as the venue this year, where 300 brand sales representatives met for a decidedly digital Convention.
Located a short walk from the Grand-Place, and booked exclusively for the occasion, the 5-star hotel Plaza was decked out in the brand’s colours for the convention. A former theatre next door to the hotel doubled up as the baroque setting for two days of plenary sessions. A morning packed with digital workshops attended by bloggers helped familiarise the staff with the use of social media. Glamorous yet sober and indeed effective!
A foray into Belgium was much appreciated after years of meeting in France! A homely atmosphere with the exclusively-booked hotel and DJ entertainment for a lounge ambience by Dior!
Brussels is often wrongly overlooked when considering destinations to organise a seminar or convention. For it has a great asset, proximity, meaning there’s no need to lay on buses for a few days.
